Cloud Based

You don’t run a server. That is the point.

The practices that feel this most are the ones who have done it the other way. A server in a cupboard behind reception. An IT contractor who visits when something breaks. A version of the software that is two releases behind because nobody scheduled the upgrade. A backup that everyone assumed was running.

NovoClinical removes all of it. There is no hardware to buy, no server to patch, no upgrade project to plan, and no single machine in your building that everything depends on.

Access from wherever you are working

The system runs in a standard web browser, so a laptop, desktop or tablet with an internet connection is a workstation. Nothing is installed on individual machines, which also means no patient data sits on the hard drive of a computer that leaves the building.

Staff sign in with their own credentials, and what each person can see is governed by their role rather than by which machine they happen to be using.

Security handled centrally, not by your practice

Running your own server means your practice is responsible for patching it, securing it, backing it up and proving all three. Hosted centrally, that work is done for you:

  • Information is encrypted in transit between the browser and the system, and protected at rest in storage.
  • Role-based access so clinical, front-office, billing and administrative staff each see only what their role allows.
  • Audit trails recording key actions, so the practice has a record of who did what and when.
  • Regular backups supporting recovery and business continuity.

More detail is on the security and compliance page.

Everyone is on the current version

Updates are delivered centrally. New features and regulatory changes reach every clinic without anyone scheduling downtime, and there is no practice left running an old build because a server never got touched. When reporting requirements change, the system changes with them.
