Chart from a tablet or a workstation — whatever the room needs
NovoClinical runs in a standard web browser, so there is nothing to install on individual machines and no per-device licence to manage. Any computer with a browser and an internet connection can be a workstation, which also means there is no patient data sitting on the hard drive of a laptop that goes home at night.
Tablets work properly
Providers chart, review and order from an iPad or equivalent tablet without a cut-down version of the software getting in the way. It is the same system, with the same information, on a screen you can carry into the room.
Voice dictation is available wherever you would rather talk than type, which on a tablet is most of the time. It suits the situations where a desk is inconvenient — seeing patients without a monitor between you and them, moving between several rooms, or reviewing a chart away from your office.
The same system everywhere
Because it is browser-based, a provider can start a note at a workstation, continue on a tablet in the exam room and finish it at the desk without exporting, syncing or losing anything in between. There is no separate application to keep in step and no version drift between devices.
Staff sign in with their own credentials, and what each person can see and do is controlled by their assigned role — so the device someone happens to be using never changes what they are permitted to access.
